Things to do for travelers, powerful ad engine for event planners.
From concept development to visualization
I love to travel. I would often do my research on Google or TripAdvisor before visiting a new place, but the problem was that I couldn't keep up with spontaneous events (such as street performance, flash sales, etc.) that are happening in the city. I wanted to see all the interesting events that are happening throughout the city, preferably within walking distance.
One Mile App (OMA) allows you to do that and more! If you are a traveler, it will be a handy tool to guide you throughout the city. If you are a performer, sales associate, or whatever event planner, it will empower you and serve as a powerful advertisement engine.
The concept of this app is that you will be able to find interesting things within a mile. I felt like the circular shape is the way to go in terms of expressing that core concept of the app.
How Does It Work?
The home screen (map view) will display various of events happening within a mile radius from you. The icons will be color-coded depending on the type of the event. If you're within close proximity to the selected event, you will be prompted to check-in which allows you to leave comment, upload pictures, etc.
Designed for Travelers...
Once you select an event, you will be able to sponsor event(making donations to the event holder) or set GPS to get to the event asap. View comments and gallery images to determine if the event is worth your time.
And for Event Planners!
Creating a New Event
There are two ways to do this. One is to report an event that you are seeing just by filling in the event name, location, and a photo. Reporting an event will disable fundraising feature. Another way is to host your own event, which will enable you to enter additional information about the event as well as full features as the event holder.
Manage Your Events
From photo gallery, user feedback, to statistics. One Mile App allows you to see all the information necessary to make your event even better!
